MerCruiser Alpha Gen 1 Outdrive
The Mercruiser Alpha One lives up to its reputation as “the world’s most popular sterndrive” by delivering reliable speed and performance in a value-priced package. Used for single and twin engine applications, the Alpha One Gen 1 outdrive cuts through the water thanks to a super-efficient hydrodynamic profile producing very little drag and increased fuel efficiency. Made to power boats capable of speeds up to 65 mph with up to 300hp gas engines (or 150hp diesel engines). Variety of maintenance-free features such as an integrated water pump and permanently lubricated pivot points help take the stress out of boat ownership. Replaces MerCruiser Gen 1 Alpha outdrives from 1974-1991. Available in the following gear ratios:
