01Your serial number
Start with your serial number
Searching by serial number shows the parts for your exact engine. Mercury serial numbers are a digit, a letter, then six digits.
- Outboards: a plate on the transom bracket, the part that clamps to the boat, on the starboard side.
- Older engines: sometimes on the engine block, under the cowl. On MerCruiser sterndrives, look for a small metal tag on the side of the engine block.

- Red parts are no longer available.
- Blue parts have been superseded: click the + for the current part number.
03Ordering a part
What View Product does

- If we carry it, you go to its product page with our price.
- If it isn't in our store, you go to our parts request form with the part number filled in. Send it and we'll check availability and pricing; most requests get an answer within one business day.
