Cotter pin 815026 is for use on Mariner 9.9C (682) and 15C (684) outboards plus Mercury and Mariner 8 hp through 9.9 hp 4-stroke outboards (2005 and newer). Five cotter pins to the package. See your owner's manual for installation instructions for thrust washers and prop nut part numbers to best fit your engine or drive with this propeller. - Use on the prop shaft aft/behind the propeller nut to secure the propeller to the prop shaft.
- Spread the pin ears only 20 degrees to best secure the tightened prop nut.
- Do not operate your engine or drive without the propeller nut in place and secured by the cotter pin.
- Stainless steel cotter pin is durable and corrosion resistant.
- To aid future propeller removal, grease prop shaft splines with Mercury 2-4-C or Mercury Special Lube 101
