How Fast Does the Mercury Avator Go?

The top speed of the Mercury Avator depends on factors such as hull design, load, and water conditions. In general, it delivers performance comparable to Mercury’s 3.5hp FourStroke outboard, reaching speeds between 5 and 10 miles per hour when mounted on a compatible small boat.

Avator tiller outboard motors are ideal for lightweight watercraft such as micro skiffs, tenders, and aluminum tillers in the 350–400 pound range.

How Far Can the Mercury Avator Go?

On a full charge, the Avator remote control outboard motor can run for about 60 minutes—or roughly 5 miles—at constant full throttle. At reduced throttle, runtime extends up to 19 hours, or about 34 miles of range.

One of its greatest benefits is the swappable battery system, which allows you to quickly exchange depleted batteries for charged ones, extending your time on the water. The Avator’s batteries can be recharged using a standard household outlet, making preparation simple and convenient.

How Much Horsepower Does the Mercury Avator Have?

The Avator’s advanced transverse flux electric motor generates 750 watts at the propeller—approximately one horsepower. However, thanks to instant torque at lower RPMs, it delivers stronger, more efficient performance compared to traditional gas-powered motors of similar rating. It’s lightweight, portable, and produces no fumes, making it easy to transport and operate.
