DOMETIC SeaStar PA1200-3 Power Assist Hydraulic Steering Pump, 15' Harness
The Dometic SeaStar Power Assist PA1200-3 is an electronically controlled gear pump integrated into the hydraulic steering system between the helm and steering cylinder. It enhances steering by directing fluid from the helm pump through the gear pump to the steering cylinder(s). The helm controls both speed and direction, while the power assist functions as the active component that amplifies steering force. The gear pump’s speed is proportional to the helm’s movement—turning the wheel faster increases pump speed. When not in use, the power assist remains idle, drawing only standby power.
