Remote Control vs. Tiller Motors
The Mercury Avator is available in both remote control and tiller configurations. Here’s the difference:
- Tiller Motor: Features a built-in handle attached directly to the motor. The operator steers by moving the tiller arm and adjusts speed by twisting the throttle.
- Remote Control Motor: Operates like a car—using a steering wheel and throttle lever. Inputs are relayed to the motor electronically or via mechanical linkage, providing a more natural driving position.
