There is no difference between a plan purchased here and one purchased at a local dealership — except you'll pay less with us.
MPP Platinum coverage begins the day after your Mercury Limited Warranty expires. For most engines, the factory warranty covers years 1 through 3. Platinum then extends your protection from year 4 onward, for up to 5 additional years (8 years total from the original registration date).
Yes. MPP Platinum is fully transferable to a new owner for a small transfer fee. This is one of the biggest selling points when it's time to sell — buyers are willing to pay more for an engine with remaining factory-backed extended coverage.
MPP Platinum has a low $50 deductible per repair visit. When a covered component fails, the authorized Mercury dealer performs the repair using genuine Mercury parts, and the rest of the cost is covered by the plan.
